A Fight Against DePRESSion!

World Health Day - A fight Against Depression
Pin it! (7th April '17)

According to WHO, India has the largest number of depressed people in entire Southeast Asia and Western Pacific Region. Depression cases are on a rise in India with over 50 million people suffering from this psychological disorder.
Depression affects one in every 20 people in India and is a leading cause of suicide!

Alarming, alarming, alarming...Here We are talking about something extremely harming!

In a fight against Depression, the present day mental health specialists strengthens the individual's identity by changing his thinking patterns, emotion reactions and behavior. But this can be effective in the short-run and is not a permanent solution to this beast! Many of such patients experience a relapse, develop another mental disorder or continue to have a poor quality of life.

Our flawed psychological make-up is the main culprit behind depression! Five main Components or klesas that constitute this grossly mistaken view of the self are Avidya(ignorance), Asmita(sense of isolated self), Raga(attachment), Dvesha(repulsion) and Abhinivesa(clinging to life).
So, a changed mindset is the only permanent solution to Depression!

Under the influence of Asmita, we confuse ourself with our body and mind and turn egoistic. We consider ourselves to be separate from the cosmos and this feeling of isolation makes us loose faith in the divine leading to the two most toxic "Hs" ie., Hopelessness and Helplessness!
We often believe that in order to be happy we need to chase and dwell upon pleasant experiences and avoid negative experiences. But the fact is that the more we try to do this the further we are caught up in the wrathful cycle of pleasure and pain leading to Depression!
We need to realise that bliss happens only when we break our attachment to both pleasure and pain. When we rise above egoism, from the body conscious to the soul conscious, we realise that our self is limitless, pervasive and a part of the divine!
We are basically a soul that has taken up a body to continue our evolution!

For all those who are suffering from this depression disorder, get up and realise that you are loved! Develop contact with the divine because he's the only reality!

" The way to expand from individual to universal consciousness is to share the sorrow and joy of others. As you grow, your consciousness should also grow. This will increase your knowledge and depression is not possible."

Negativity Sign 3- Doubt

Signs of Negativity- 3 Doubt It's ok to ask questions, but if you are on the spiritual path, you must replace doubt with faith. Trust your guides. If you keep doubting them and asking them proof after they have given you knowledge and understanding, you are being negative. There's a man who prays very hard each night. At the end of his prayer, he always asks god to do what is best for him. But somehow things doesn't seem to work in his life. He cannot understand why god doesn't answer his prayers. One day, an angel appears before him and said, "I have a gift for you." The man was overjoyed. The angel asks the man to open his palms. The man does so as though he is about to accept an offering. The angel looks on the man's palms and blows on them. "You are welcome", said the angel. The man was confused because his palms were still empty. " But where's my gift?", He asked. "It has already been given to you. Your hands we
